Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, by Friedrich Linden Auction with section of tunic(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of nickel silver and tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivet securing the eagle to the obverse, with a narrow block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a Type 2a badge
