Scheduled flights from Johannesburg OR Tambo to Beira International Airport with Airlink.* Light aircraft transfers with Safari Air from Beira to Gorongosa National Park (duration: +/- 35 minutes).

Due to the use of light aircraft transfer, you are requested to limit your luggage to a MAXIMUM OF 15 KG and to utilise SOFT LUGGAGE CARRIERS. Failure to do so may result in luggage arrival being delayed and / or incurring extra costs. Light aircraft transfers from other domestic and regional destinations are available upon enquiry.
*Frequency of flights changes depending on the season and not booked through Gorongosa Safaris.
ROAD ACCESS
Gorongosa Safaris do not take responsibility for road transfers and the recommendation is to fly in.
Guests arriving in Beira/Chimoio after 2 pm must overnight in the city and will be transferred to the Park the following morning. Transfer durations: From Beira: (+/- 4h). From Chimoio: (+/- 2,5h).
MALARIA IN MOZAMBIQUE
Malaria-carrying mosquitoes are common in our area. While we provide mosquito nets on all windows and beds, we recommend using repellents or taking prophylaxis before visiting.
